This service includes a Rapid Strep A Test for one person. The test will be administered at your location (home or office) by one of our registered mobile nurses. We use a rapid antigen test to obtain a result in 15-20 minutes. Upon completion of the test, the nurse will verbally communicate your results.

What is Strep A?
Group A Streptococcus, commonly referred to as Strep A, is a highly contagious bacterial infection that can cause a variety of other illnesses. These infections range from relatively minor illnesses to severe and potentially life-threatening conditions. How is the test performed?
The nurse will perform the test by collecting a throat swab sample and processing it via the appropriate medical device.
How do I know if I should test for Strep A?
Signs and symptoms of strep throat can include:
Throat pain that usually comes on quickly
Painful swallowing
Red and swollen tonsils, sometimes with white patches or streaks of pus
Tiny red spots on the area at the back of the roof of the mouth (soft or hard palate)
Swollen, tender lymph nodes in your neck
Fever
Headache
Rash
Nausea or vomiting, especially in younger children
Body aches
It’s possible for you or your child to have many of these signs and symptoms but not have strep throat. The cause of these signs and symptoms could be a viral infection or some other illness. That’s why your doctor generally tests specifically for strep throat.
It’s also possible for you to be exposed to a person who carries strep but shows no symptoms.

You will be required to fill out a questionnaire to provide the necessary information required to set up your account.
The day prior to your appointment you will receive a call from your nurse who will confirm your booking and verify your address.
How long will it take?
The session can take up-to 20 minutes.
When will I receive my test results?
Upon completion of the test, the nurse will verbally communicate the results to the patient.

Cancelation Policy and Not at Home
Cancellations are expected 48 hours in advance. A cancellation can be made by emailing customer service at info@rtmedhealth.com
If you are not at home for your appointment, you will not be eligible for a refund.
Return Policy
Appointments will be refunded in full if they are cancelled 48 hours ahead of the scheduled appointment.

To wear a mask when experiencing a cough and/or fever when the mobile nurse is visiting your home.
